Record-Breaking Air Quality Levels

Several parts of the city showed an pollution measurement above 500, which equals 10x the healthy level established by the World Health Organization.

Certain monitoring stations, readings of toxic particulate matter soared to of 1800, amounting to 15-20x exceeding acceptable standards.

Fireworks Ban and New Changes

Public health and economic toll on the nearly 33 million residents living in the capital region is significant, according to various studies.

This pollution causes elevated rates of nervous system, heart and circulatory and breathing conditions, and can result in cancer.
